Enjoy the Real Peace of Christmas!

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with
whom He is pleased. ”
Luke 2:14 (NASB)

Peace! Peace is a precious commodity. It is so precious that no price can be attached to it. Men search for it, pursue it, yet they rarely obtain it. However, the story of Christmas reminds us that people can experience personal, family, and even national peace. God wants you to have His peace that comes to those who put their faith in His Son Jesus.

The angels on Christmas proclaimed God’s desire to bring peace to men’s lives and hearts. God is not angry with people nor does He hate them. The message of Christmas is that He loves them and wants to give them His life.

You and your family can have the peace of Christ during this Christmas season. You can have peace through repentance and faith. One must repent of sins committed with a sincere commitment to live a life of obedience to God’s word. Then a person must by faith make a commitment to follow Christ as Saviour.

The Bible says in Isaiah 57:21, “’There is no peace’, says my God, ‘for the wicked.” This is why repentance is necessary for the person seeking peace. As long as a person continues in sin there is no hope for peace. Their sin keeps them from knowing God’s peace. So, if there is any sin (disobedience to the commandments of God) ask God to forgive you and turn from your sin. Then, place your faith (trust and hope) in Christ Jesus who died on Calvary’s cross for your sins. Faith not only places hope in the past life and death of Christ but casts complete trust in the resurrected Christ with the commitment to surrender to His Lordship.

Therefore, by repentance and faith you can have the peace that God offers to all of mankind. When you repent of your sins and make Jesus the Lord of your life then His peace will fill your heart and can overflow into your family life.
